Out with Doubt, In with Passion
There have been many times where I have let fear get in the way of me doing something and there have been other times that I acted and the feeling of doubt set it. At this point in time, I’m done with letting that crap have power over me and I’m here to tell you that you can choose to be done, too.
I make the effort to pray and reflect often. Whether it’d be at night before going to sleep, or whenever I have a quiet moment to myself. During that time, I get honest with myself. I assess my feelings and rationalize the meaning behind them and give it to God.
The New Year started off great, I was ready to kick ass and stick to my resolution of making it my year of action. However, I lost the positive energy behind that notion the third week of January. Instead of succumbing to the low vibes, I made myself find what was missing within. It didn’t come easy but I finally found that I wasn’t doing all that I wanted to.
Sure, I work funky hours and spend the day taking care of 2 toddlers and it can sometimes feel like I can’t keep up, but all of those things fall under the responsibilities category in my brain. What do I do for myself that makes me feel good? SRG Blooming Boutique is so much more than Halos, Mouse Crowns and a pretty Instagram feed. It’s my passion and I’m not willing to let that go, no matter how busy I get or how judged I may feel.
Helping others is an innate quality that I’ve always known has existed within. Right now, I’m fortunate enough to be home with my kids. I know this won’t always be the case and one day I will walk back into an office or classroom. I don’t want to lose my spark. So here’s my new way of helping others; being honest about my wins and losses and reminding people that they don’t have to get lost in their darkness. I’m here to help you get out of your limiting beliefs and share some tools that have helped me along the way.
You don’t need a reason other than it’s something that will make you happy. Doubt and fear may creep up on you but when that happens, look them square in the face and tell them to take several seats because you are more than this and you’ve got goals to crush.
A quick thank you for all the love during the self improvement challenge. Your words made me feel like I was on the right path by continuing to share my heart. You can find the calendar and guide here on my site under the SRG Uplift tab.
